Trash is an inevitable part of life. Whether we intentionally do it or not, we all sometimes find ourselves with quite an overflow of debris or litter at home. Sometimes we have large pieces of trash that we simply do not know what to do with because they don’t fit into a standard sized trash bin. (I.e. old sofas, broken tables, landscaping scraps and etc.)
That is why the City of Jackson’s Solid Waste Division encouraged its citizens to participate in Roll Off Dumpster Day this past Saturday on February 13.
Roll off dumpsters were placed in specific locations around the city so people could drop off their unwanted junk that has been laying around in their garage or attic for ages now. This gave residents and business owners the opportunity to dispose of their large amounts of trash in an easy and efficient matter.
Kudos to the city of Jackson for putting on this event! Hopefully other cities will follow in its footsteps.
